The first time I ate Shawarma. Part 1

The first time I ever came across the word shawarma was one fateful morning while I was returning from church. I was in a bus heading home and as my usual practice of sitting beside the window and catching a glimpse of everything and anything that catches my fancy, I saw the word boldly written on a signpost.

As the bus sped past the signpost, my mind kept wondering what shawarma is and I told myself that I need to find out. So my research began. Mind you, this period was the time when that viral joke of someone ordering two chilled bottles of Shawarma and hot plate of salad. Lol

I can imagine the look of the person's face after finding out that shawarma isn't a drink as she/he believed. That look would be priceless! Lol

Anyways, back to my gist. I headed to Google and typed in the word shawarma and became more curious when I saw that it was a Lebanese street food and the mission to have a bite began! After all, Warri no dey carry last...I must have my own bite and testify😁. 

Mind you, Shawarma wasn't sold cheaply and just anywhere. You must be ready to part with a few good thousands to enjoy this sumptuous delicacy 😉😉😉.
